Broomball
Broomball is a team sport similar to ice hockey, played on ice with players wearing rubber-soled shoes and using broom-shaped sticks to maneuver a ball into the opponents’ net.
Things got heated! Things got intense! Things got testy...so much so that the players started getting physical, like they would in a hockey game! However, in this Broomball game, there was an Ejection before they started throwing hands!
This is one of the best broomball penalty shots ever! Brody Villeneuv's Great Broomball Penalty Shot completely fooled the goalie! Brody started slow, sped up, went in one direction then changed up and eventually the goalie lost his footing and Brody scored!!!!
This is a great Broomball Skillz Development video. It shows you some very basic skills such as: wrist shot; ball control; running forward; running backward; receiving a pass; the flip pass and so much more. Great tutorial video!
Ok what is Broomball? Well to play, you need a specially designed broom-like stick to hit the ball across an ice rink and into the opponent's goal, you know, just like you would do in ice hockey. However, there is no checking in broomball. Players just wear regular shoes, any shoes they have on and not skates. So, the objectl is to score more goals than your opponent by maneuvering the ball with your broom while on the ice. You can't catch the ball and you can't carry the ball! Broomball is usually played with 6 players per team including a goalie. There you have it! Broomball is here!!!
